Srinagar Sep,4 (PTK): The recent floods in Kashmir have affected all walks of life including education. The school work in Kashmir has been halted for almost a week. Now, as the weather has turned favourable, the government has issued notifications regarding resumption of school work. As per the latest news on Opening of Schools in Kashmir, The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has issued notification regarding the same.

When Will Kashmir Schools Reopen in 2025 – 2026?
The officials announced that all Government and Private Schools in the Valley will reopen for classwork from September 8, 2025 (Monday), following days of closure due to heavy rains and floods.
An order issued by the Directorate stated that recent bad weather and subsequent flooding led to submergence of several school buildings and damage to some structures, delaying the resumption of classes.
The order , regarding Latest News on Opening of Schools in Kashmir, also directed Heads of Institutions and school staff to undertake proper cleaning and sanitization of classrooms and premises beforehand to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
The latest torrential rains have wreacked havoc in Jammu Kashmir with many parts witnessing a flood like situations. The memories of 2014 floods were relived from the past couple of days with people feeling the same sense of hysterical situation. But thanks to Allah, Kashmir was saved from the catastrophe.
