Assalam u Alaikum, My name is *****, I am from downtown area of Srinagar. The life in downtown was just like full of life. We enjoyed every bit of it. I had many friends out there and then came a moment when everything changed for me. My family decided to relocate to uptown and I was like dumbfounded to hear that. Do I have to leave my friends and those roads and go to a place where I didn’t know no one. Frankly speaking, I, with my friends planned to stray and get lost forever but the thought of our parents made us stop. And at last I had to bid an emotional farewell to my friends and those narrow streets that even today, after so many years make me nostalgic and tearful. We have a very beautiful house (with a big lawn) in the uptown but it is worthless to me when compared to that clay laden house that had only 4 rooms but contained a lot of treasures in it. I still long for that paradise where my roots are but the social dominance is overpowering my desires and wishes. P. S : I want to die there
